45 mins prepServes 4
A delicious pizza featuring burrata, prosciutto, and fresh arugula, finished with a sweet and spicy hot honey drizzle. This recipe includes instructions for making homemade pizza dough and a savory crust spread.
To make the pizza dough: Combine 2 cups bread flour, 3/4 cup lukewarm water, 1.5 tsp olive oil, 0.5 tsp salt, and 0.5 tsp instant yeast. Form the mixture into a loose ball, then let it rest for 15 minutes under a damp towel. Knead for 10-15 minutes until a smooth ball forms. Place the dough in the fridge to rise for 12-72 hours.
To prepare the crust spread: Mince 1 clove of garlic and chop 4 sprigs of thyme. In a small bowl, combine 2 tablespoons of olive oil, the minced garlic, chopped thyme, and 1 tsp Italian seasoning. Set aside.
Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
In a separate bowl, mix the arugula with a drizzle of olive oil, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
Once the dough has risen, roll it out to your desired pizza shape and size. Cook the bare dough in the preheated oven for 7-9 minutes.
Take the partially cooked dough out of the oven. Spread the olive oil crust spread around the edges of the crust. Place burrata in the center of the pizza and arrange mozzarella cheese in the empty spots. Return the pizza to the oven and bake for another 7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
Remove the pizza from the oven again. Arrange the prosciutto over the melted cheese. Place it back in the oven for 5 minutes, then broil for 2 minutes to get the cheese golden brown and bubbly.
Finish the pizza by topping it with the mixed arugula, a sprinkle of red pepper flakes, and a generous drizzle of hot honey. Enjoy!
